i'm so used to buying things for full price, mainly because i like instant gratification and my size usually ends up selling out fast. i felt so lucky when this was the one and only elodie cardigan at my anthro store in MY size and ON SALE! it really is the little things that can make your day.
i'm backed up in outfit posts but since we will probably get snowed in this weekend, i'll work on a major update.
lastly, a reminder to clear the roofs of your cars if ice/snow has accumulated on them. i know this is a pain, especially if you have an SUV like me but you could potentially save a life. when i was in 7th grade, the father of one of my classmates was driving behind a truck that had a sheet of ice and snow on it. the sheet of ice crashed through his windshield and unfortunately, he did not survive. accidents like this happen every winter but we rarely hear about them. so, be safe, and drive safely this winter! xo

i love your purple and gray combination. the cotton checked shirt is one of my favorites. i really think i want it in gray after seeing how nice it looks on you. be careful in this weather. we are expecting about 12 inches in my area.

Also, I like how you paired the checked shirt with a pretty colored skirt. I may try that with my blue shirt and a pink j.crew skirt. i think that it just might work!
And I agree about the cleaning cars off of snow. It's so dangerous to not have your car completely cleaned off before driving it. Nothing makes me more angry than when I see someone driving what looks like a moving snow mound b/c they were in too much of hurry to properly brush off their car!!

First of all, I love that Elodie cardigan- how great that you found it on sale! Second-aaack!, that is so sad about your classmate's dad. You have definitely reminded me to make sure our roof is clear of snow before we take our car out. Be careful in that winter wonderland out there!
